Serie A – week 38 preview

The only games which have any real significance on the final day of the Serie A season are Udinese’s clash with Champions AC Milan and Lazio’s visit to Lecce.

When predicting games, I try to find value rather than to pick the odds-on bankers where possible. Having struggled for a couple of weeks I was pleased with last week’s return of two successful predictions out of three. Having checked both the odds and results from the final day of last season in Serie A, I note that each of the ten results followed the shortest odds on offer with a single exception. So as the last day is clearly not a good one for finding value, I am focusing solely on the two decisive fixtures for this week (previews below).

Those having a bet on any of Sunday’s Serie A games would be well advised to proceed with caution, and to follow the odds. Also worth bearing in mind is the fact that Inter and Palermo are likely to rest key players ahead of their Coppa Italia final which takes place next week in Rome.
